The Casual Food Services Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school food service program and is involved in all aspects of food production.
This posting is for the 2024-2025 school year.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- In collaboration with the teacher, carry out all aspects of food preparation and production.
- Support the teacher to ensure students are learning the appropriate skills in the food service industry.
- Maintain and schedule repairs for equipment as required.
- Purchase supplies as required and manage budgets and supply records.
- Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed and that equipment is operated in a safe manner.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Journeyperson qualifications in the food service industry is preferred.
- Successful completion of Food & Nutrition Management diploma, or equivalent, with a practical background in the food service industry.
- Experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
