THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU
The Administrative Assistant IV, under the School Principal, contributes to maintaining positive relations with staff, teachers, parents, guardians, and the community. This position carries out administrative assistant duties and office tasks to provide support for the Principal’s office.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
1. Provide administrative support in managing the school budget:
- Monitor and verify school expenditures through review of bi-weekly budgets.
- Process school invoices, journal entries, and requisition for all supplies and equipment.
- Manage petty cash fund and make timely bank deposits.
- Ensure timely encoding of BMO transactions.
2. Provide general administrative support to the Principal’s Office:
- Answer general inquiries and provide appropriate assistance, such as assisting students with requests on registration or transcripts.
- Prepare required administrative reports and staff accomplishment of paperwork.
- Maintain an organized department calendar and schedule.
- Maintain an organized school staff list.
- Arrange and coordinate in-person and virtual meetings which include school events such as school picture or graduation.
- Assist teachers and staff on a timely basis.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Office Education Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and division specific software.
- Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience is an asset.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
