The Technical Support Analyst serves as a liaison between Information Technology Services and staff throughout the School Division. This position is responsible for providing front line customer service through analysis and problem-solving, technical assistance and support coordination for computer hardware, software, networking, and applications.
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Three (3) or more years of desktop support experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
- Experience with Windows workstations, Microsoft Online Suite (M365) and Google Workspace is preferred.
- Experience with desktop and various operating systems, including Windows OS, Mac OS, iOS, iPad OS, Chrome OS and Android.
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune for endpoint management. Active Directory User Administration and utilizing remote connectivity tools (e.g., Remote Desktop, etc.) for resolving computer issues.
- Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities, including network monitoring tools and vendor specific diagnostic tools for hardware troubleshooting.
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- CompTIA A+, MCSA and ITIL or similar industry certifications will be considered an asset.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and/or within the education sector is considered an asset.
