This summer assignment is for part-time and casual employees from June 29, 2026 to August 21, 2026. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a half hour lunch break.
No extended vacation periods will be approved during the summer assignment. Periodic vacation days may be available upon approval.
The Caretaker ensures that Division facilities and grounds provide safe, clean environments for learning and working and works collegially as part of both the school team and the Division-level Facilities team. Key responsibilities include cleaning and minor maintenance functions.
As per the collective agreement, depending on school needs, Facility Technicians may work rotating shifts.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous caretaking experience and a Fireman’s Certificate is an asset.
Successful completion of Division-provided and required training and development.
