THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU
The Community Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school nutrition program.
The schedule for this position will be Monday to Friday mornings from August 27, 2026 to June 28, 2027.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Coordinate and/or prepare healthy and nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and/or snacks.
- Conducts classes for parents, students, and other community members on such topics as nutrition, food preparation, and food buying on a budget.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Apply today if you meet the following requirements:
- Post-secondary education in nutrition, food services, home economics or related area.
- Experience in operating breakfast, lunch and snack programs.
- Ability to involve the community in the school nutrition program.
- Ability to integrate food experiences with curricula.
- Experience with recruiting and working with volunteers.
- Experience with community development programs such as community kitchens.
- Familiarity with inner-city and cross-cultural neighborhoods.
- Experience with record-keeping systems
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
